Featured cabinet collections.
Every collection below ships to Illinois with full warranty and our flat-fee delivery. Chosen for the warm wood and bold island colors Chicago kitchens are built around. Deep green and soft gray options are also available, ask us for samples.

White Shaker
The light half of a Chicago two-tone. Crisp white perimeter cabinets pair with a bold island and keep compact kitchens feeling bright and open.

White Oak Veneer Shaker
Real white-oak veneer with linear grain. The warm wood Chicago condos and lofts lean on, equally at home in modern and classic kitchens.

Navy Blue Shaker
Chicago's go-to island color. Deep navy on a shaker island sets off a white perimeter and pairs naturally with brass hardware and quartz.

Frameless Pearl White
A warm off-white with full-access frameless construction. A warm-minimalist alternative to stark white, and a smart fit for tight condo kitchens.

Slim Shaker Green
Muted sage in a slim profile. A lighter green option for those who want a softer accent than deep forest tones.

Bold islands, warm wood, Chicago character.
Illinois kitchens, especially in Chicago's bungalows, greystones, and two-flats, are moving away from all-white toward warm wood and confident color, usually concentrated on the island. These are the three looks defining IL kitchens and the BWC doors that nail each.
Two-tone classic
Chicago's compact kitchens use two-tone to add depth and make the room feel larger: a light white or cream perimeter with a deeper island in navy, charcoal, or forest green. It's the default move across the city's older housing stock.
Warm urban wood
Rift-sawn white oak and warm off-whites soften concrete-and-glass condos and read equally well in classic and modern spaces. Frameless construction maximizes storage in tight square footage.
Deep green statement
Forest and emerald greens have taken over from sage on Chicago islands and lower cabinets, paired with brass. A deep green or navy island looks especially good against a grey winter backdrop.

Cabinets that hold up to Illinois winters and humid summers.
Illinois swings between cold, dry winters and humid summers, with Chicago's lake-effect moisture on top, movement that opens joints and warps doors on cabinets that weren't built for it. Our boxes use moisture-resistant plywood with solid wood frames, soft-close steel hardware, and a protective UV layer on all cabinet lines except unfinished.
Permit notes for kitchen renovations
Installing cabinets on their own usually does not require a standalone permit. Renovations that touch electrical, plumbing, or structure typically do.
+ Learn more about Illinois permits
Illinois leaves most residential building code to local jurisdictions rather than a single statewide code, and Chicago enforces its own Chicago Construction Codes. Kitchen renovations involving electrical work, plumbing changes, or structural work typically require a permit from your local building department.
Chicago and many municipalities require licensed electricians and plumbers for those portions of a remodel, and condo buildings often require board approval.
Permitting requirements vary by city and county within Illinois. Always confirm with your local building authority before starting work, particularly in jurisdictions like Chicago, Naperville, and Springfield.

Will be placing another order soon!

Be sure to double check all your cabinets sizes, if you mess up it will cost you at least $400 in shipping for replacements. First set we ordered were a true 1/2” plywood box, second set was 1/2” and 1/4” plywood with less engineering.
All in all they are good cabinets and a good company that wants to service their customers.

Update: I got a call from BWC and after a review they said they’ll send me a warranty claim replacement, thank you!

The customer service at BWC is amazing as well!

Note: you will need a brad Nailer to put these together. If you are not comfortable with wood glue and a brad Nailer... you might want to look elsewhere.

My first call was with Steve - he picked up on a Friday night after hours! Following week, Steve got on the phone with my contractor so I could be sure I was ordering correct sizes. I also spoke with Arman, the owner and then a front office person. Old fashioned level of service. Hard to find anymore.
I purchased 3 pieces and trim to fit the space. Cabinets arrived in perfect condition and my contractor assembled all 3 in about an hour. The price was unbeatable and the quality is superior to anything found in all of the home improvement stores I shopped. Great company. Will definitely use on our next rehab. Will post photos when the granite top is installed.

He put the cabinets together with a bead of construction adhesive on each joint and in each groove and then stapled/pin nailed them as well. and they are rock solid. We were most impressed with the wood dovetail drawers as they went together easy and the glides were smooth. He also used wood glue and pin nailed each dovetail and they were rock solid as well.
Overall we are very happy with the purchase and would not hesitate to order from them again, should we need more cabinets. We highly recommend Buy Wholesale Cabinets. Thanks for all your help, Fiona!

I shopped directly online, selected everything I needed and was able to truly save 50% over a local big box store’s quote. Cabinets arrived in 6 business days from my purchase. No issues, and I found this to be the smoothest big order purchase I’ve made.
I strongly recommend checking them out before spending too much elsewhere!!
